About the event : The theme for this event was Forgetting. Each of the three speakers responded as they saw fit to the theme - with a new piece of literature or an informal talk, an academic lecture or a performance. This event was be opened with readings from Vilde Torset, Yvonne Litschel and Olga Kolesnikova.

About the speakers : Dr Meg Jensen is Director of the Life Narrative Research Centre at Kingston University and Associate Professor of English Literature and Creative Writing. She writes and publishes both critical and creative writing and is at present at work on a monograph for Palgrave Macmillan (2018) entitled Negotiated Truth: The Art and Science of Trauma and the Autobiographical. This work evaluates a range of life narrative forms that represent both personal and historical traumatic experience (memoir, testimony, poetry, graphic memoirs, memorials and monuments, etc) and considers the relationship between such works and current behavioural, psychological, and neurochemical understandings of traumatic disorders. Adam Baron has published five novels. His sixth, Boy Underwater, is the first of three he is writing for HarperCollins and is due out in April, 2018. He is an Associate Professor in Creative Writing at Kingston University.
